Differentiating Honest MLM From Pyramid Schemes

By MLM Absolute

Pyramid schemes are dishonest and illegal money making schemes where people pay money to join without receiving any form of product or services. In pyramid schemes, there only a few people at the top levels earning money from the bulk of the base of the pyramid.

Pyramids resemble a legal honest MLM in structure, but there is an important difference. Pyramid schemes seek to make money from you, while multi-level marketing seeks to make money with you by offering top quality products and/or services.

Pyramid schemes are not sustainable as there is a limit of people joining the network. In most cases, the bulk of the members in a pyramid scheme will lose money and time, while the people in the top of the structure profits the most.

People commonly mistaken MLM companies for Pyramid schemes. But in a good MLM company, you will only be rewarded if you work hard.

The primary objective of mlm is to use people sell products and services through word of mouth. The more people involved, the larger the distribution of the product. Representatives of the company are rewarded with commission upon sale.

The truth is, all organizations are in face pyramidal in structure. Most of the staffs are controlled by a few people high up in the structure such as the CEO and managers. The difference is that, distributors in a MLM company are not controlled and do not need to report to their superior.

A good MLM company should be one that allows you to build your income with sustainability. There is not limit to how much you can earn and long you can work for. You are a boss of your own.
