Selling Your Brand Message With Promotional Gifts

By Montgomery Preston

Brand promotion of the business is an important concept that business owners must always keep in mind. If your brand is recognised by customers in a positive way, they will be more likely to shop with you. The image you send out must be positive if your business is to grow, and promotional gifts can help with that.

The particular venue where you are planning to give away the gifts will likely have an effect on your gift choice. Larger tradeshows where thousands may be attending could get expensive, so you may want to choose something less expensive.

Giving away promotional items which are useless is not a good idea for brand recognition. They will be tossed aside and never looked at again. At a conference or an exhibition, you may offer a mouse mat, a keyring, or even a pen as a business gift. These will be received well and will likely be used because they are functional.

Even if you choose to give away inexpensive gifts, make sure they have a usable function, or your investment will likely be for naught. Keyrings are an inexpensive gift that are always well received because they will be used.

Consider the keyrings for a moment as business gifts. A potential consumer could take ten keyrings back to the shop and use them. This allows you even more recognition when a consumer in that shop sees the functional item. Overall, be careful in what you choose for your next tradeshow and you'll likely be able to reap the benefit of positive brand recognition long into the future.
