Outsourcing - How To Put Your Home Business On Steroids

By Kylon Trower

An internet marketing business consists of many critical components: website design, product creation, payment processing, sales letters and so on. How about coupling that with sales, tracking and analytics? When you think of all this it can be a little overwhelming to say the least. Let me take some time to help you navigate your new venture with concept of outsourcing..

Now granted, when you are just starting out, outsourcing may be the furthest thing from your mind. However, even if you are just starting to get your feet wet, I want you to start thinking about what you do best and what you don't. I remember starting a home business on Ebay years ago that took off and I couldn't control the sales if I wanted to.

In this situation I new that I was going to need some immediate help and I brought on a part time assistant. I paid him to do some of the mundane tasks that I didn't necessarily care for in exchange for a consistent hourly wage created by the added sales and productivity. When your business gets to that level, don't put it off as it will ultimately stunt your growth.

That said, you must be especially careful to choose the right people to handle the tasks with the same level of professionalism and expertise that you would. It is also important to outsource tasks that are very mundane and straightforward as opposed to tasks that can ultimately determine the success or failure of your internet marketing business.

A few good examples of some areas you might hire someone for would be answering emails, writing articles, building websites or squeeze pages. These jobs are pretty mundane in some instances but may require a creative talent that the person is skilled at. The key to these positions is that they will never be in a position to dictate the overall success of failure of your business, make sense?

Now let's get down to the bottom line, how do you pay your new hires. It depends on how often you need their services. In the beginning you may be able to hire a freelancer on a periodic basis as you need them, but as business picks up you may consider hiring them on a full or part time basis. Full timers would be paid hourly and your freelancers would be paid on a per project basis.

Now when it comes to project work, you are only required to pay them once based on a job done according to your previously agreed specifications. You can find reputable freelancers in several places right on the net. A couple popular sites you should familiarize yourself with are www.rentacoder.com and www.elance.com.

Okay, now that you have a couple of strong resources to outsource freelancers for your internet marketing business, it's time to build it up to the point where they are needed. The leverage and time freedom that comes with outsourcing is a very freeing experience and will give you the opportunity to increase your sales and profitability exponentially. When the time comes, don't delay and have fun with it.

One final thought before we part, don't stop dreaming. You had a dream that got you to this point and it's that dream the will continue to get you over the humps and challenges you'll inevitably face. Make sure the reasons why you are doing what you are doing are greater than money, fame ad notoriety and you're almost guaranteed success.
