"You should always keep in mind your resolve to succeed is the most important thing, more than anything else." That's an excellent motivational phrase, don't you think? Did you start a home business and tried to keep affirming that, then realized networking is tougher than you thought?
It's insane doing things that don't work, and keep repeating them. A good strong mindset and being able to do things that move you past your comfort zone is crucial. But all the wrong tactics and actions will still only produce failure, and turn you into a synic.
You will not perservere doing the old school approach to your business. I don't care what anyone say's, and I've never run into a networker who was successful, and doing it full time with these ways. I don't care how bold or assertive you are, when certain tactics don't work, it doesn't make sense to pass them down.
How many seminar's do you have to keep sitting in on, to get tired of hearing "keep buying those leads and making those calls, and her's some more safelist's that have been working well?" Then everyone's off and running, oh and "don't forget to be grateful for everything in your life." If I don't laugh, I'm surely going to cry.
There's been a lot of success in this industry that can't be denied. Many outstanding companies with a lot to offer, are getting it done with their affiliate programs. But leaders teach the new reps so many old ways that will take forever to produce results, if they do at all. Then these new reps lose interest and give up.
Even if you have a ton of energy, a ton of focus and determination. Your home business doesn't stand a chance to get off the ground when you have been mis-informed about how to get going. You will not have trust in the networking process ever again. Just because of old school ways that you thought were only way.

Well all I can tell you, it's probably not the business you chose that failed you, it's the tactics that have been passed along to you.
